Always inspect the battery before use—check for cracks, leaks, or terminal damage.
Avoid short circuits by keeping tools insulated and ensuring the terminals never touch accidentally.
Provide proper ventilation during charging to prevent gas buildup.
Install the battery upright for safety—never place it upside down.
Secure the battery firmly to reduce vibration or movement that could loosen connections.
Double-check polarity: positive (+) to positive, negative (–) to negative.
Tighten connections securely, but don’t over-tighten. Good contact prevents power loss and heating.
Use a charger designed for sealed lead-acid (SLA) batteries.
Recommended voltages:
Float use: around 13.6–13.8 V
Cycle use: around 14.1–14.4 V
Limit charging current to about 2 A for safe and efficient charging.
The preferred charging method is constant voltage with current limiting.
Ideal charging temperature is around 25 °C. Extreme heat or freezing cold will reduce lifespan.
For storage, keep the battery in a cool, dry place. Recharge it every 6–9 months, or whenever voltage drops below 12.6 V.
Keep the terminals clean and free of corrosion.
Avoid deep discharges whenever possible—try not to drain below 20% capacity.
Recharge the battery promptly after each use.
If the battery is unused for long periods, give it a full charge every few months.
Issue | What to Do |
---|---|
Battery not charging | Check charger compatibility and cable connections. |
Reduced capacity | Perform a few full charge–discharge cycles to recover some performance. |
Battery case swollen | Stop using immediately; this usually indicates overcharging. |
Low voltage even after charging | Battery may be damaged—consider recycling and replacement. |
Lead-acid batteries must always be recycled—never throw them in the trash.
Use approved recycling centers or return programs for safe disposal.
12‑month limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Technical support available for installation and charging best practices.
